Dear organisers of this page, I would like to express my appreciation of your work. You made it possible for me and others to light and colour some of our moments of our life by enetering to this page, what it can give us is beyond words description. By the way I am from his birthplace, though my intense interest to him is not because of this relationship. If I can make a suggestion 'can your add the word Balkhi to his name after Rumi'. This is because he is also known as Balkhi-rumi or Rumi-balkhi in our part of the world Afghanistan, Iran and central asia and additionally it is related to his birthplace. However, we all know that ' he is from nowhere but from everywhere', but such naming looks more fair to as who have not reached that spiritual evolution and it matters to us. Wish you the best.

Regards, Atefi

Remember that Maualan never wrote about the love of women but instead he wrote about the love of Allah. The people of the west think that he wrote about romantic love but instead it was the fire of love for Allah that was burning inside him. This is the most important note about his writings so i think you should add that on the main page so that people know. Becuase from looking at the pictures that appear at the top of the poems it seems that Maulana was engulfed in some earthly love for an pot of clay but the truth is that he was seeking love of ALlah. Please do put that on your site somewhere THankS

In a tradition nourished by good thought, Rumi does not just mean that he was living in Minor Rome with great admiration, but also his name means this: You are my image, you are my good face, you are my good reputation, you are my good fame-- without your borrowed face, I am all out in dark and face that I don't like to show it to anyone when yours is there and can be barrowed.

So Rumi or Rootam means a profound beautiful face-mind-soul that stands and guarantees large collectivity's good reputation and great public image for an honest and meaninful business conduct.
